I was just curious with this lake being a pretty decent body of water why no one has fish houses on the lake? West Battle getting all the action? Any insight on the species of this lake?

"Alright stop, grab some bait and listen, ice is on the lake so we're going fishin"

That's funny that your question produced a link to Lake Finder with no comments. Feel the love! haha

I've never fished Clitherall through the ice simply because I don't spend a ton of time ice fishing. In spring/summer/fall, I have been successful fishing for all species on Clitherall. There's a healthy population of game fish and it's up to you to determine your targets and tactics. There is various structure in the lake that caters to specific species. The east side by the Oak Park resort lauch features a rapid depth drop that crappies love. The north side near Old Towne resort features weeds on flats that Pike and Bass thrive in. The drops offs off the flats are awesome for bluegills. The rocky road is a fun run to make when Lindying for Walleye. You can look at the lake depth map and go to work. There are humps and sunken islands all over the lake that produce fish.

I can't wait for spring!!

Good luck! Please post your results after you try the lake thru the ice!

Agree. Caught a few at first ice one time, but most of the time its been tough.

Towards spring the tulibee bite can be fair, but be prepared to move a lot.

Caught in the jaws of life, I found myself, chewed up like everyone else. Made no difference who I was, or what I thought, I still got caught in the jaws of life.

I've fished with him and he speaks the truth.
