Do you have any local kids who want to make some cash? Just an idea.

Melting chocolate is tricky!! There's a temp of 5-7 degrees that if not in the slim temp range it will crystallize.Becareful read about it follow the temp rules and you may not ruin it.Thats if you try to melt it.

I'd be smack'n away at the chocolates while unwrapping, ugg, I have to filter thru some garbage when putting pasteries in teh grease bucketts, but it's worth to get a good bait food, a little tedious work is worth it. Boar

boar, we do the same, we call it shucking, we usually get a bunch of indiviually wrapped twinkys,ho-hos, apple-pies cup-cakes, ect, that we need to peel wrappers off, we do this most mornings before baiting, 1/2 the stuff is still edible, which has happened, by nearly everyone out there shucking, any way 12 days till baiting begins, good luck to all, mike

MATCHSET,
You might not want to hear this, and others might disagree, but in my experience too much chocolate isn't a good thing.
Several years back a buddy and I got into several large barrels of vanilla and chocolate cake frosting - same deal as your chocolate. It was going to be sold for pig food. We thought we hit the "motherload".
Turned out the bear liked the stuff, but we figured it may have been giving em' tummy aches. I think it was just too rich, and just like little kids, they'd eat a couple pounds, get the runs, and lay off the bait piles for several days.
They'd eat more of the vanilla frosting then the chocolate, but not much more.
I think if you used it sparingly you could attract and hold an animal, but definately don't go overboard. Probably not what a guy with 300 lbs. of chocolate wanted to hear. Sorry.
