Does anyone have information on Larsson's Camp on Caliper Lake? My wife and I were looking at it to take two of the grandkids on a trip this summer. I'd also be interested to hear if anyone knows about the fishing on the lake too!

I've been there in the winter only. It is run by two brothers and their families. They are nice enough folks. The cabins are adequate but nothing special. The walleye fishing is professed to be good in the spring and there are rumors of nice crappies also. I can verify there are ALOT of small northerns in Caliper Lake. I probably would never go back to Larsson's not for any reason in particular other than there are better places to go for me.

If you are considering Caliper, you might be interested in Off Lake. It has the same species, similar in size, but less people and traffic than Caliper. We have 3 very nice well equipped cabins and are just South of Caliper off the main road aways. Email me any questions you might have.

I will second Off Lake. The cabins are VERY nice. There is plenty of room and a wide open newer kitchen. The fishing was great, (at least when we were there) and your host will bend over backwards to make your trip the best that he can. The Adams’ run a first class operation.

Thanks for the info guys. I really need to find a family oriented facility because of the grandkids. Do the Off lake cabins have a swimming area? I really do need that.

Superbee, I don't see an e-mail address for you. Can you e-mail me at vermilionfox07@hotmail.com so we can get in touch with each other?

There is a natural sand beach right our kids swim on all the time. We also have a swimming dock with a slide out just a ways. You have mail.
