Congrats Don!!! Good lesson for all on letting the deer lay overnight!!! I've learned the hard way after gut shooting and losing a couple of deer. Once you jump them they are gone!!!

I'm glad you went with a logical, well thought out approach and made the right decision. Good Job Don on all phases of your hunt. You knew in your gut what to do but that stomach, the knots don't seem to go away during the overnight. Great lesson for all.

I'm shooting the G5 Stryker. It's a pretty a pretty small head. I realy think a bigger head may have caused more bleeding and maybe allowed me to collect that deer sooner. But then again, better shot placement would have let me sleep better that night with the deer hanging instead of laying in the woods.
