I can't seem to get the suction cup on my Xog gps to stick for more then a few minutes to the supplied round plastic disk. I tried soapy water. Any tricks? I still want to be able to remove it if needed. It did stick well when I first got it.

My experience is if the suction cup doesn't have the lever mechanism to lock it in it's not going to work very well long term.

So Velcro on the dash won't work for you? Thats what I ended up doing with my Tom-Tom!

I had problems getting the holder for my H2O to stick. I ended up using a little Pepsi instead of water (it was all that was available). It hasnt moved in weeks. When I finally do remove it, a little warm water and the dash will be good as new.

An alcohol swab will clean the rubber and the surface you intend to stick it to.

You wish the natural rubber of the cup to be as clean as it can be, any oils, soaps, or residues will hinder it's ability to hold a vacuum. Non pours surfaces are a must for them to work properly.

If you are using RAM components, search for SKU rap224-1 on their website. I got this 2 1/2 years ago beacuse the one supplied in the kit would keep falling down. I haven't been disappointed yet.
