I just put a set of bearing buddies on a trailer. I went to put grease in them and couldn't get any in. Then it was hard to get the Grease gun off the zerk....grease was coming out of the gun. Are the bearing buddies bad or is it the grease gun?

It may be just a bad grease zirt that will not open. I would try to unscrew it and see if you can replace it before I would pay for a new set.

Agreed Jim, they can be difficult when they don't work. Cheap and easy fix for sure.

they work good if you grease them once a year or so otherwise you blow out the grease seals and the bearings go dry and next thing you know you need new bearing.. Just a word of advise.

I've always had my zirt's stick on my bearing buddies when releasing the grease gun. I guess I just considered it to be part of the design. I've always been told to give it a quick 90 degree snap and the gun should pop right off without affecting the bearing buddy.
