I was blessed to take a nice buck this year. By far my best ever. He is definately going on the wall.
I know it will not win any contests but am curious what a buck like this scores.
Also, what differentiates a typical vs. a non- typical buck.
I appreciate your thoughts.

Pretty deer - I'd put him around mid-upper 130's gross. Congratulations.

somewhere around 135. Might hit the 140s gross, but that would be pushing it.

Here's my quick guess:

Spread: 16"
Main beams: 40"
Mass: 28"
G1s: 8"
G2s: 17"
G3s: 16"
G4s: 8" For a total of 133" Nice buck!

I would guess around 125, maybe give or take 5 inches either way.

122, it will lose points for the odd point on one side. Those deductions kill a guy.

Nice buck all the same.

Boy, give you guy's a job to do and you go right to work.
Thanks for the input.
That is the range I was thinking.

Ah yes, there is a small point in line with the other on the one side. There will then be a deduction for a smaller point by a few inches as it appears to be shorter.

I didn't see that smaller point right in line with the other.

My bad eyes I guess.

Don't worry about deductions hugonian1, most people just care about the gross score. Let us know if you get it scored, you can do it yourself. Just do a search on the web and there are lots of instructions and charts to learn how.
