We usually take a five day weekend trip to Red Lake but we are considering Vermillion this year. Are there any plowed roads to get a wheel house out in January? I assume some resorts might have some?

There is usually a road out of McKinley Park in Soudan that goes out a couple of miles.. some good fishing can be found down the road in January.

Other than that there usually is a road out of Stuntz Bay in Soudan also that goes to Glenwood Lodge.

Last winter local guys were blocking some of the roads they plowed so others could not get by them. Apparently they got tired of others setting up right next to them or in the middle of the road. Last year was the first time I saw it happen.
