Have any of you been able to check theses rods out yet? I seen them at gander the other day, and they sure look sharp.

IF they are the ones I saw the the early show I was at this year, they seemed a bit heavy. But have not used them in a fishing situation so beyond that, I have no opinion.
I will say this, I have yet to jump on the bright colored rod bandwagon. Maybe soon, but not yet..

Remember that previous to this the best rod they made was like $40...

A well known web-site has done a couple 20% everything & no shipping on orders over $50 promotions in the recent couple months. A buddy of mine bought the spinnerbait/worm model. For a $72 price point he loves the rod.
Based on his recommendation, I just ordered the 7'6" carolina rod which is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. (I got in at 10% off.)
I figure it has to be better than the Mojo rods. I won't waste my money on those.

I recently purchased the jig/worm rod at Joe's for $90. Was able to fish with it twice before my season ended. I liked it alot. It's 7'2", has good action, is a little on the heavy side but not enough to be a negative IMO. It also has 11 line guides and a large convienently located hook-keeper. Great rod for the price and I like the flashy look.

If they weigh as much as the Mojo, I will be returning to the on-line store!!!
I have a lot of $125-$200 rods. I just ordered these to fit a couple niches.

The crankbait rod is glass, though. I really doubt I'll return it. I'll keep them with my other 30 setups.

Sounds like a lot of you guys think these rods are too heavy. I was thinking about getting one, and matching it with a Skeet Reese Signature Abu Garcia Revo, but not sure yet

I'm guessing if these did not have the Reese name on them, they would be about $50. Not saying that doesn't happen elsewhere, but I think that is the case here...

i think it is a bit of a pendulum swing thing. Skeet reese can have any rod he wants so he goes lamiglass - well respected and spendy - after several years he realizes you can dang near get buy with an ugly stick - spend your money on good reels. i bet if most of us fished blind folded we couldn't tell the difference between a $50 rod and a $500 rod honestly - but we could tell the difference in a reel. but that is just what one man thinks - i wouldn't want all of us to stop being consumers:)

The only case I don't think thats true is when you are throwing moving baits like spinnerbaits, swim jigs, and cranks. When you are throwing those baits as long as the rod has the desired action for the bait you are throwing feel really is not as important. If I am throwing worms, tubes, jigs or a c-rig feel is of the utmost importance and I can gauranty you that you can't feel near as much with a "ugly stick" as you can with a more expensive graphite rod.

I was thinking about getting one, and matching it with a Skeet Reese Signature Abu Garcia Revo, but not sure yet I think you would be a lot happier with something else. If you're going to spend that kind of money(~$360), I think you'd be better off going with a Revo Premier (which can be found for as little as $130 right now) and match it with a St. Croix Legend Tournament or a G. Loomis IMX.

I would much rather have a nicer rod than reel. Thats just me... thankfully we can have both!

I'm with TB on this one.. Would much rather have a good rod, and go ahead and blind fold me, I can tell a nice rod. But like TB said, glad we dont have to choose, we can have both.

yep very true- and as i am a rod maker i know you can easily have both. I know especially when building your own you can get very good quality with out having to spend very much or should i say less than a good reel. higher end rods tend to be much lighter which is indeed nicer but that is usually a product of what they put on it for guides, epoxy thread, seat, cork/foam etc.

I just ordered the Swimbait rod, BTD is having a sweet 20% off sale, free shipping, no tax, worst case scenario, I can probably sell it on HSO- classifieds for what I bought it for

I saw these rods at a bass pro about a month ago, not too bad for the money, they are absolutely loaded with guides!
I find it funny that skeet left lamiglas because he wanted to be with a company that was more consumer friendly in terms of price... now lamiglass just came out with their version of a lower tier rod for the first time ever!
