Yeah I was excited for W@W but I think everyone knew/expected it to be a copy of MW in WW2 era which it essentially was. I still played W@W a lot and wouldnt second guess buying it again but right now it looks like Infinity Ward took the greatness of MW and tweaked it enough to make it a whole new expirence not just a few new guns and levels. Or maybe Im just falling for IWs ability to work the hype machine...

lwnmwnman2, yer gonna be in fer a treat! tutf, about the only playing I did on w@w was nazi zombies. If I have a buddy playing multiplayer I could go at that all day.
Cigarettes are alot like hampsters. They're pretty harmless until you put them in your mouth and light them on fire.

If you guys have the machine to run highend games check out ArmaII. Its not so much a run around and kill people game. Its a military sim with graphics unbeatable. Most the time you get killed and dont even know where the bullets came from. Definetly gotta move slow. And the game isnt scripted so theres tons of different outcomes. Online play is crazy people take this game very seriously.

I talked to my buddy yesterday and his teen-age son has friends with modded Xbox's that have been playing MW2 for over a week. They downloaded copies off of some overseas file-sharing website, go figure.
you can bet they'll reset everyone to Zero on release day

Anyone hitting the midnight release in stillwater? I've got my prestige edition on reserve there - I'm afraid to go alone as I don't want to get mobbed by the sea of people just as nerdy as me . I took tuesday and wednesday off of work, trying to figure out if should squeeze some duck hunting in to get some fresh air between the online marathons.
It's not always the getting that matters, just going is good enough for me.

2 days? Nice I tell ya what, my lowest point in gaming was running full sprint through the downtown Target in hopes of scoring a 360 console. I got one, but not without a verbal argument. Probably not the best guys to be arguing with and I asked for a security escort back to my car.

lol, thats pretty good dtro - I didn't jump on the 360 bandwagon till well after its release so I missed out on that experience. I did work at a best buy during one of the restocks and it was crazy to see what people were capable of! I'd say the saddest release for me so far was the burning crusade, was standing in below 0 weather for over 6 hours waiting for that stupid game. Reminded me of ice fishing, except I didnt get to catch any fish

I read somewhere that they are good for up to 50'. I'd imagine if you built your own enhanced IR spotlight, you could see quite well with them. I will find out monday night, and will try not to be one of the idiots wearing them while driving home with my headlights off . They are in no way used for the game, just a collector item. You even get a mold of Soap's head to display them on.

I really considered getting the NVGs but couldnt justify the price difference. Ive got a buddy getting them though so Ill play around with his. I figured they werent going to be too good but then Ive heard that they actualy are. Oh well Ill be too busy playing the game to worry about the night vision.
