It isn't closed, the dock is just out. You can still launch your boat there, it is just a bit harder is all. I am sure the DNR did it at all the accesses the same day, plus they also did many of the area accesses as well. I don't think you'll find any docks out right now.

The docks have been out since last week sometime, late in the week if I remember right. The original poster I'm sure is talking about the huge barricades and closed sign just off the road in the entry to the landing blocking anyone from entering the landing. They were up Tuesday night, Weds morning for sure. There was a truck/trailer there tonight and it looked like the barricades had been moved to the side, don't know if the person there moved the barricades or if whomever put them there moved them. But tonight, they were moved and a fishing vehicle was parked there.

Yes, I apologize and stand corrected. For some reason there is a closed sign there, but moved to the side. Not sure what that's about. Do they have more work to do?

The only reason the signs are moved to the side is because the @holes put them there when I was still on the water Mon. So they didn't put them to the side if you know what I mean.

Well that totally blows Chris, that is not a cool move for someone to do, still on the water, wow. Someone was in there again tonight, signs still to the side, about 6:30 anyways. I don't know who "runs" or "owns" that landing, DNR? County? Thought about calling someone today to find out why the signs are there in the first place. Plan/ned on going Sat and Sun out there. Fish are bitin!!

DNR for Northwoods. And what about the ice fisherman that have been using that access for years??

I just called the DNR and found out that there is some work to be done there. It is open right now but they will be shutting it down for some work soon. I was told that I would get a call back within 10 minutes and they would let me know when that would be. That was over an hour ago.......

It sure would be nice if they would post the reasoning for the closure. Not everyone has put their boat away for the year. I haven't been impressed with Lake Bemidji's boat launch's this year. I'll have to go out of Cameron today. Is it even possible to launch a boat out of Cameron by yourself with no dock?

Good luck with that one bod. I can not even get my Ranger 620T off the trailer there let alone get in or out of it. I heard that Nymore's dock was still in but the road was tore up. Not sure about that info. You would be able to get in with no problem at Irving though, and pull up near the tree on the west side.

I got a return call yesterday afternoon from the DNR saying that the launch would be closed for a couple days to repair some concrete work that wasn't done properly or that needed repair already? Not sure but the point was that it will be open again as soon as the concrete is set and we can drive over it again.

I heard a rumor tickets were being issued to people using the Nymore access as that is now privately owned by Green Mill/Hampton... I could be wrong though...
I hope they are doing a little work to the center of the Northwoods launch where the concrete drops off into the gravel - saw a few boats/trailers get hung up there thinking it was a center runway to launch - only to get the trailer stuck.

I used Nymore access yesterday afternoon. Unless it blew away in the wind, I wasn't ticketed. Although, I had to put the truck in 4-wheel to pull the boat out. It was very slippery.

Northwoods is open. The city DID NOT sell the Nymore access to the Hampton. Got out yesterday and hammered a limit of crappie. Hunting in the morning and depending on the success, might be on Bemidji for walleyes in the afternoon.

Hit Bemidji earlier this week. While we were on the lake and parked with the trailer in the lot, they laid the fresh concrete (as brmuskie noted above) and roped off the ramp. They did leave a note on my windshield telling us to use another landing. Not a big deal since I wasn't alone. But you have to be kidding me? What if whoever was out there was out there alone? If you know you're going to be working on the ramp, how about closing it off and roping off the ramp the night before? There was no reason for us to believe that there would be any work being done. Everything looked to be completed and the ramp looked great.
