Cliff or any one that's been on the lake in the last day or so...

...any water temp update for the east end?

I'm coming up for one last musky fling this weekend and hoping to see the magic number '39'. Cold water seems to make those fish intoxicated.

Hope I can find 'em...

Thx!

Brian

I haven't been out but I would say it has been too warm during the day to be quite that low yet in most of the lake... my guess would be 3rd and 4th week of Nov it will be 38-39 just ready to freeze... Prolly low 40's still... Idk for sure though..

I pulled my boat for the winter a few days ago, so no new water temp reports, sorry!
I think that Casey is probably close on the temps though.

Trolloni,
I think that I was on the water this season at least 150 days, maybe a few more!
We boated a total of 3,826 walleyes since the opener. About four hundred short of last years total.
It was a pretty normal summer this year for me as far as exciting events. We did manage to boat two muskies on lindy rigs with only 8# test leaders! A 40" and a 47". Both very healthy fish. I believe that the 40" fish was much heavier then the 47" fish.

39.5-40.5 last night around Moc.Pt. area. The wind was blowing 15-20 from the west making some rough conditions. Slow fishing.

I don't count all the fish but had a lot of great outings and really great company in the boat I know I kept up with Cliff at least a few times wink!!! My number of 20+" fish was way up this year and some has to do with fishing different water more this year and I believe the slot limit..

I was under the 100 trip mark but easily over 100 days on the water! No firm data here unless I dig in the log.. but there was a streach I remember working over 20 days in a row.

Duck hunting was excellent this year..

and now it's back to prepairing for this winters work.

Most memerable trip was a toss up between....

the duo that made a beer can peramid in the back of the boat while sucessfully pounding the fish also (how you can catch as many fish while consuming as many drinks is still a mystery to me) I think they each had a third hand.

the father son from Iowa that caught 15 fish over 20"s in the first hour of their day (couldn't get there line to the bottom!)

the batchelor pontoon party that I DD'd for (odd guide trip request).

and the group from tiwan on there first trip to the states the jigged over the side of an ancored boat and I never put the net down for 3 solid hours. Way Cool!

Fishing Was Great

Catching is always a bonus

Randy,

What's the avg date the part of the lake in back of your marina freeze's to where you can walk out? I know for other areas of the lake it is around Thanksgiving...As many know I now think the walkable ice maybe later then normal this season, thanks

39-41 as of this a.m. on the east end, main lake.

Does any one know where a guy could get boat fuel on the lake this time of year? I went by Shamrock - my #1 choice - and the dock was pulled. I was running on fumes by the end of my trip!

Brian,

Just pull into the lagoon and use the 2nd pump. Lots of fuel in the tank. Unfortunately, we have to pull docks while the crews are still working. But with the lagoon, you can still get fuel.
