how to pack all that stuff

Does anyone have any good tips or ideas on how to carry a hanging stand, 4- 4 foot climbing sticks and a gun in one load.
I spent several hours staring at the stand and sticks trying to come up with a good way to carry it all in one load. The best idea I had was to strap the sticks to the back of the stand and the stand to my back, but it really didn't work well (time consuming to rig up)

Any ideas would be appreciated

Thanks

depending on the terrain on where you have to go, I've used my deer cart carrier and strapped it to that. works good if the area you are walking is soewhat passable. If not use it go get as far as you can and then pack the rest in.

I would try and find a way to ratchet strap the stand and sticks together and then try to get them on my back somehow. Then I'd carry the gun. Good luck.

I have a summit climber stand it only weighs 20lbs and my pack straps to the back of it, I hunt a 1/2 mile hike in up in northern MN. A CLIMBER IS YOUR SOLUTION TO ONE TRIP WITHOUT KILLING YOURSELF

I actually agree with THEDOGG, if I had to hoof it in with a stand, I would buy a really nice climber, even if you only get up 10 feet, it will help with visibility and still get your scent off the ground. I wouldn't go cheap, cheap climbers suck. Unfortunately, you do not have that option. Good luck.

My hunting buddy has a hang on with sticks. He does in fact strap them to his stand and carry the contraption on his back. I think its the only way to go if you want to carry your weapon too. Or you could hang your stand and come back for your weapon and other gear. We do that with his stand sometimes as well.

I put shoulder straps on my stand. Then I bungeed the steps to it. My backpack went on my back first and the stand and steps went over the bag. Worked pretty good.

The world is moving so fast these days that the one who says it can't be done is generally interrupted by someone doing it.

When I had to do such a feat, I accomplished it like so.

Stand on back with straps.
Climbing sticks lashed together so I could carry them with one hand.
Camo fanny pack instead of a backpack. Pack light!
Gun in other hand.

Not the easiest walking but it can be done when necessary.

I'd skip the sticks and fill your pack with strap on steps.

Loc: Burnville Mn,
I put pipe foam insulation around the climbing steps to reduce them from clanging together! laugh
