Good Morning All, Thanks for the warm welcomes, would love to be on the river this morning hooking a big wally. I dislike this time of year so much. Stuck between water and ice. Would be nice if we could just wake up and there is 10 inches of ice. Andre, I have my eye on this great new outdoor cooker (made by King Kooker), double fryers on a table. Hot walleye chowder on one side and deep fried walleye on the other, served to you in your ice shack. Only problem is I would need atleast 8 fishing buddies. I would be torn between the fishing and cooking. Is there ice yet? I will be waiting for all to join me. Holly

First picture is of a monster cat, Stu and I where on our way back to "Cats" when he said, " Gotta show you this little honey hole." Five minutes later, hooked this gal. Second is of my daughter last Sunday, her personal best at this point. She is still a little afraid to hold them but that does not stop her from catching them. Guess that is what she has a mom for, lol.

I share, my best day out there was with a wonderful couple I took out on a four hour trip. Took 34 cats, 28 of them where trophies. They almost wore me out. Biggest in my boat this year was 41. 75 inches and well over 35 lbs. More than one third of my body weight. Love to take you one day, can take you to a few secret spots. Music to my ears when I hear a client say, "Time Out, I need a break." Lol, a women with a cruel streak....lol.

My name on here is RangerQueen cause we have one and I pretty much get to be the queen of it. Just trying to get to know a few folks and make new friends.

Thank you all, I live to fish and hunt. Cat fishing in the summer time is nothing less incredible. The power that these fish have is wild. My winter is spent on the ice looking for big wally's. I have all custom clothing to make it nicer to enjoy the outdoors. If anyone is interested let me know.

Lisa, Thanks for the warm welcome,it is much appreciated. Nice to know there are still some good folks out there and you are one of them. I am just glad that I am not the only one that feels a bit confined in the winter attire. (WE ICE FISH TOO!!)Totally relate to the wardrobe issues. I hope mamacats does well w/her venture.

Actually I do not sell the clothing. I used to give seminars about "Women in the Outdoors", so I simply give ideas on how to make it easier for us out there. For instance, you can buy camo sweats for hunting, or sweats or cargo pants for fishing. If you sew it is easy, if not left your fingers do the walking in the yellow pages. Take your sweats or cargos and add a zipper that runs from the inside of one knee around to the inside of the other. If you have a layers such as ski pants do those to. Guess what you never have to pull anything down again. LOL.

add a zipper that runs from the inside of one knee around to the inside of the other. Ingenious! That is a great idea! I think I could learn a thing or 300 from you Holly. Julie and Holly, what gear to you gals swear by? Anything specific that you keeps you warm and dry?

Zippers and velcro are our friends, lol. As fare as warmth well, I love anything with gortex. And good old Sorel's. In the winter time I wear layers of velcro sweats topped with heavy ski pants with a zipper. Oh yes and one of those great Elmer Fud hats. Toasty warm is good.

Another thing I do is wear really long socks. Take hand warmers and roll the socks down once over warmers, you would be suprised how much warmer your legs stay. You would be suprised were those hand warmers fit! Grandma always made me wear plastic bags in my boots, lol, but if I am ice fishing and pulling the auger out of the hole you would be suprised how many times those shoping bags have kept my feet dry and warm. I could go on and on with things like this, lol.

Wow what a remarkable program. I have discussed this with Stu and we are both in agreement that we would love to start a chapter up here. Stu has donatedhis time and efforts on many other occasions and once again stepped up to the plate. I am waiting to hear if we can work this out with LGF.

My name is Melissa, I am married to Mark (Rippinlip). I have a 10 year old daughter Taylor. I enjoy 4 wheeling, ice fishing,(I probably don't go out fishing as much as my hubby but I do love it when I do go). I'm bowhunting for the first time this year and enjoying that too. I'm new this website my hubby talked me into it to see if I can make some new friends with the same interests. So I hope I'm doing this right.
